Oh and wet down the chickens as well...they might not like it..but it will keep them a little bit cooler.
 
You guys have humidity but and that can be just as brutal. Do you have multiple water dishes or just regularly checking?
I have multiple water dishes. If it gets any hotter I will be adding ice to them to stop the water getting tepid.
 
I give a dose of Sav-a-Chick electrolytes/vitamins about once a week during heat waves. It really seems to help....started this after they saved a heat stroked hen once.

What I've found to really is an 'all day ice cube' in a shallow pan for wading, sitting, and sipping....better than icing their main waterer IMO.
