We've got one Hot! Chicken in our coop.
This is why it's not good to have feathers in "summer".

Yep, my black Java's are panting away too.

Their tree has yet to leaf out, so the super hot sunshine was bright! It was 86 degrees today in northern Illinois?! Um, isn't it the day after St. Patrick's day? Where we usually are freezing our behinds until Memorial Day?

Cold grapes helped to cool my girls down - and gave them a chance to play chicken keep-away too!

My silkie was panting today. I don't really know why because she doesn't have very thick feathers. [IMG] [IMG]

Already 80 degrees here and my gals are hot in their black feathers.

You chicken was so kind not to peck at you for having a camera in her face. She looks like a hard working gal!

Wish I could send you some of our cold! The only time our chickens look like that is when I sneak them in the house :)

Wow, and I thought it was hot here in S. Florida!!! We were like 80 degrees here today, and for the last several days as well. Nice, actually. I'm not looking forward to the long hot summer though! [IMG]
