Hot or Squat?

I have noticed some of my girls sitting differently lately- tail feathers held high rather than down in the dirt/hay. Is this a "squat" or are they hot and trying to cool off?

Looks like a squat. Test it by scratching in front of the tail between the wings, if she gets up and rearranges her feathers its a squat.

Looks hot to me, can you put a fan in there, even if it is a battery operated one, to help cool them down?
