Hot peppers? Butter?

I have a huge surplus of hot peppers from my garden this year, and I was wondering if the chickens would like them. I have heard that they don't taste "hot" really, but will it do anything bad to them?

We also had steamed clams this weekend and had leftover dipping butter. I hate to just throw it out, but it is a little bit "clammy" and sandy. Would the girls like it?

What about fat from meat (hamburg or sausages) that cooks off?

The hot peppers will be good for the birds, it will clean their insides out and make em lay more/better. Im not so sure about the butter tho.........

I put in seeds of "mixed" hot peppers. We got jalapeno, habenero (way WAY too hot for me) cherry peppers, and something really small, red and super hot

I may cut up one or two and see if the girls like them.

Peppers are fine. Butter is not healthy for chickens.

Well, the hot peppers were a bust. I mixed them up with some slightly soft tomatoes- sort of a chicken salsa. They ignored it.

They were much more interested in playing in the piles of leaves being raked up out of the yard- they're worse than kids helping!
