Looks like I need to do some updating!
Let's see.....
I have 3 coops finished. I had planned on putting in 3 more coops on the other side of the barn, if I do, it will be later on. I do have the 3rd coop & run finished. Right now it is sitting empty since I sold my English Orps & my Crele Legbars.
In fact, I've made a few changes since this pic was taken. The nest is gone & moved to the middle coop. The door has been moved since it was hard to get in with my wheel barrow. The roost was in the way. I plan on using this last coop when adding new babies to the existing flock.
I've also built a brooder in the alley up against the coops for the babies first few weeks. I don't have a pic of that, but will get one next time I'm out with my camera.
I'm thinking about putting in a brooder room in one of the stalls on the left of the barn. That way in case I have any escapees, they will still be contained. I have thought about putting up wire with door on each end. I've had 2 of my grown chickens get out of the door. Luckily, the dogs weren't around at the time & I was able to get them back in.
