My RIR are 13 weeks old and free run twice a day when I can be there to supervise. We live out in the country but there are stray cats etc so I stay with them, I plan on letting them free range all day when they are older and not so scared of everything. My question is the morning sun shines on there outside door and it heats up in the am cools down after the sun is over the barn so is it ok to put a box fan to blow in there coop.

It should be fine. Production grower houses have large fans for circulation and to cool the chickens. Good Luck

Ditto, as long as there is adequate ventilation in the barn for air flow, a box fan should be fine.
