Ummm, YES, they are called OUTDOOR AVIARIES.

Considering a parrot is a WILD tropical bird that can fly, I think keeping them indoors is not the ideal environment for them. At least with a large outdoor aviary they can enjoy some limited flight.

A chicken on the other had is considered a domesticated bird, & has been provided some type of indoor shelter for many years. Whether that that is an outdoor coop, or a cage inside a house, it's still basically a shelter from the elements & predators.

You can buy it from almost any sign shop but try plastic places first, they are usually much cheaper. And if you tell them its going to be used as the floor of a pet cage they will usually sell it a bit cheaper bc they know you aren't making your own signs out of it....AND they may have a piece that is scratched up a bit and can not be used for signs but would be fine for a cage.

http://www.coroplast.com/ You can call or find a maker near you and they can give you a store that will sell to you.

Im glad to hear someone mention Coroplast, which is the trade name for corrogated plastic. Think cardboard box made of plastic.
I have been using this stuff for years, for everything. I first learned of it when making RC airplanes from it, of all things.
It really is an unsung product. My current brooder incorporates more than little of it.
I get it in all sorts of ways. I have purchased it in 4 x 8 sheets at a sign shop, which is cheaper than ordering it online. It comes in white and many other colors.
I pick up roadside signs, the little "bandit signs" that sprout up everywhere.
The large candidate endorsements/adverts seen at election time are 4 x 8 - and, win or lose, are useless when the election is over!
** BTW, these are private property, belonging to the campaign organizers, so be mindful of that. They are normally relieved to not have to go take them down.
Stores use a lot of it in advertising floor displays and then throw them out - so I recycle them.

I have one silkie as our house chicken. She spends the night and day in a big dog cage w/food and water bowls. When I get home from work, I put on her diaper and she roams the house. She's out all day during the weekend also. If I have time to sit, I will take her outside to free range a bit.

The biggest hassle I'd say is when she hides her egg in the dog cage or puts pine shavings in her water bowl.

Every day or two I pick out the dried poop from the pine shavings.

Works for me...
