house chickens thread for people that have them

and pretty sure it is a she because a rooster would be bigger and do you know what she is?
S/he was only about 2/3 the size of the other hatchmates. If even that. S/he has also developed slower eems like a week behind the others even though they hatched within a day or 2 of each other.
There are multiple breeds and crossbreeds on the ranch, including Marins, Rhode Islands, Wyandotte and Faverolles. The broody hen was a Faverolle, not certain if August was actually her egg or not. There was a Silkie but he passed in Spring. However some of the brood hens,at least one is a silkie cross and this summers chicks was a first time brooding for a few of these hens.
So its anybody's guess, lol. I was leaning towards Cuckoo Marin until August turned out almost fully black feathered so far. A bit if white in the throat still and faint hints of red on back of head and neck

august is sooo cute!and how do you make the sock diaper?that is the one reason why my parents don't want my chickens in because I don't have diapers for them(I have been successful so far,all I had to do was mention getting good grades for a bribe and that bribe was getting to have my silkies in the house for an hour for all Bs' and for all As',it would be a whole day.theiy know me good enough to know that me getting all As is not likely)

Silkies look like a fun chicken to have, but my husband would never agree to a house chicken. :D

If I had a house chicken it definitely would be a silkie. :)
My friend, @Saaniya, has 2 house roosters!
