Wow, a very complex issue.....and a lot of sensible advice offered on this thread.

I agree, do your homework on the internet and find out as much as you can about this group. The late nights and the power-over-women attitude strike me as red flags.

People change. My partner and I talk about this sometimes....."What if one of us changed so much that we couldn't stay together?"

I can also relate to your husband "looking for something" in this group, as I'm kind of a seeker myself.

Be strong and have faith that you and your girls will be OK no matter what happens.

I also think something funny is going on with him..staying out all night....

yeah right... my man would never stay away all night. He'd come home to his junk packed and the locks changed...the FIRST time it ever happend. You gotta toughen up girly..and be willing to make some life changes. IMO..

I think that one of the things that keep him drawn into this following so strongly is that all of the people he goes with are friends of his. People he works with. He has met some that he doesn't work with there, and they go hang out very often. Ive considered the chance that he is doing this to fit in with them. While I'm setting here at home raising his children he is out having fun like a teenager. Playing video games, playing basket ball, going out to eat at restaurants, things like that. I must seem like a big drag to him when you weigh the two different types of choices he has. If they where people he didn't know he likely wouldn't choose to favor them over me. But since that's not the case then I sort of have a huge disadvantage here.

As for this religion name, I never heard of it....it is so new to me!

I did not realize there are so many "branches" of faith in Jews...the only one I know is of the "Old Order"or the Orthodox (sp) Jews? Or was that Hebrew?

This thread is very interesting!

I hadn't heard of it before either till he got involved in it. For a long time I didn't know there was any other divisions of Jews either. My family was teasing me and him about it for a long time. They still do actually but not as much. It wasn't till I spoke to a Mormon about it that I found out the real name behind it. Which was Messianic. I looked it up on Wiki and got bored of reading it a quarter way through. Ive just become so fed up with it all.
