House is a mess ...

... but the three chicken coops are spotless! The ducks have a clean cage and clean wading pool (at least for a few minutes). The turkey gobbled today. The dogs are happy. Life is good! Maybe the house will get cleaned tomorrow ...

Yeah I spent all morning cleaning the bathroom. And right now my brother is nagging at me because he's saying how he has to vacuum the floor and how dumb chickens are how much we should get rid of them because they make messes. UGH so annoying. I cleaned more than him and he's complaining??

But anyway, sometimes we pay more attention to cleaning the chicken coop than cleaning the house. LOL

Every room but the kids room is clean, need to do laundry today BAD and fold the already clean clothes that pile the spare bed in the kids room. Porch is clean but the yard is a 911 disaster. Dog is bathed and the turtle's tank is cleaned. Thank god the weather is pretty today so I can hang clothes outside. I still do need to go through 4 boxes of baby/kids clothes and get all the baby clothes out and washed. Basically the only thing Im doing today is LAUNDRY, and oh, sweeping the floor (a daily 4x a day job)

I still need to do the bathrooms, vacuum the floors, and pick stuff up for Thursday. However, the kitchen is clean and spotless now!! Spent 2 days detailing the kitchen lol Rearranged the pantry, cleared out all the old stuff that wasnt good anymore, cleaned the frige/freezer, cleaned the kitchen floor, scrubbed the sink, did the dishes, cleaned the oven, AND reorganized the countertops.

WHEW!!!!

The rest of the house should be cake and pie after that lol

I can honestly say that my house is spotless at this point. I cleaned from 10 AM yesterday till 1 AM this morning, with very few breaks. Even the grease pot in the kitchen shines.

Of course, the DSD and the GS are due to arrive in about an hour. So much for my clean house.

I have decided that even though it's just DH and me for Thanksgiving, we are going to have a house clean enough for company! I really LIKE having a clean house.

Good on you Gritsar! Doesn't it feel good?

Even though it won't last, dang it. The dogs are the worst at getting it messy around here.

My house isn't spotless yet

But my dogs are both squeeky clean

Lassie was the prissy princess as usual and when I told her to hop in the tub she did and promptly laid down and crossed her legs. When it was the beast's turn, he grumbled and chuffed at me till I had to practically carry him in there. Bath time and going to the vet are the only times he gives me trouble

Both smell good now. Lassy smells of lavender, and I used my Axe body wash on beast.... The girls are gonna love him later

I have to say that our home is never really messy, we stay on top of it daily. DH is a clean freak so anything out of place or dirty just freaks him out, so we have learned to put away what we use, dirty clothes go in the laundry room in the hamper, whoever showers wipes the shower down. The bathroom is cleaned EVERY weekend by DH, the kitchen floor is scrubbed every weekend by hand (and its the biggest room in the house and we have WHITE linoleum) As we dirty a dish its rinsed off and put in the dishwasher.

Even the girls rooms stay clean, the only thing that gets ahead of me occassionally is the animal cages, and we clean them at least every 2 weeks, although we prefer to clean them weekly. Right now I am taking a break from rearranging our bedroom to put a tree in front of the window, that way we will have a Christmas tree in front of every window facing the road! lol

I know it seems odd to some people and it drove me crazy at first, but I can honestly say its so nice to not wake up or come home to a messy house that its worth it!
