The Paragon always has a pet roadrunner born to the family line of roadrunners introduced by the first Paragon who had moved to Canada from the American Southwest, a coyote by the name of Sneak E. Coyote, who avenged his father Wile’s death by capturing the roadrunner who had unwittingly caused it, along with all of its family. At first they lived basically in custody, before becoming feral Canadian animals, and the Paragon always kept one as a pet as a symbol of power.
