What household items have you ound nifty uses for? homemade feeders, waterers, coops, roosts... things for other livestock as well... I knwo there are lots of fun ideas out there!

I am using icecube trays for my chicks waterers. If they dirty one square it doesn't ruin the others, so it lasts them all day with plenty of clean 'waterin holes' left to choose from. I clean it morning and evenings. They like it as a feeder as well!

For those quart mason jar waterers with the wide drinking trough I put in those round plastic ice cubes (unfrozen, of course) to keep the chicks from drowning, the spaes between them are perfectly sized for little beaks.
