houses are impossible

Madelyn. If i could move out and just gut the house i would. My dh was already living here when i got knocked up and moved in. Thus itll end up like my folks house (over 100 yrs old) and gut.one room at a time and do it right. Dont need to hire ppl to get it done right. Enough research and family helping will get things done right and inexpensive. Hoping soon to enclose our porch knock out some walls and build another wall to make 2 bedrooms. Then least the kids are seperated though im still in the attic lol

Lol. My dh has very crappy hrs. So i do most of the stuff here. It saves on hiring people in so i get to stay home with the kids. But ive proven a bit better on stuff now then him. I built my coop single handed woohoo. Its a very rewarding experience to be doing this all.

Good for you, you keep at it and you both will have such a nice place in no time.

Thanks.

besides ive found myself loving wood work. Im gonna build monkey bars and a new swingset this summer

I too love working wood it's my first real pleasure, I have built many pieces of furniture allot of which still grace our home.

If i can get to it this summer i wanna build an outdoor recliner to relax in. Not that i have much time for that lol. I made some piggy banks for xmas last year and my daughter a toy rocking crib. Biggest problem has been cost of wood. But i did save us tons of money by building the kids a playhouse from scratch not buying one (plus is soo big) i love building and npw i love raising chickens. I may never look for a 'real' job again lol

You should try and build an Adirondack chair, they are soooo cool and comfortable not to mention very easy to make. the plans online are free.

I have some plans for those. Waiting to see this pipe cost first plus septic drain year lol. If i can shell out the money im gonna try. See how everything turns out lol. Still gotta slap together my chicken tractor soon
