Housing for ducks - dog kennel?

Got an idea from another thread - will something like this work? This is a dog kennel picture from home depot web site.

We are in Central Florida, so cold is not an issue...

I am sorry but I don't think that dog kennel is a good idea. It has two vulnerabilities to raccoons: it would need wrapping with hardware cloth to prevent raccoon hands getting through to your ducks sleeping in there; it needs hardware cloth barrier round the ground -- or under the whole kennel -- to stop raccoons burrowing underneath.
