Hi all, m
So I just hatched 3 quail, and am trying to plan out a hutch for them when they are bigger . assuming they all can stay together, / get along ect, I’ve read each quail needs a minimum of 1sq ft , more would be better .
So I’ve found some rabbit hutches, gives me plenty of space. But they need an enclosed for when it rains , windy ect , now I’ll have then in a screened in porch, but wind will still go through sometimes rain/ snow if wind changes. The hutches for rabbits , the enclosed part is usually only 12-14 inches long . Then they’ll have another 48 inches (4ft) or so of cage for rest of time. Is that enough ? Or do I have Somehow make the weather enclosed part bigger?
hope that made sense , lol, here’s a pic of along the lines of what I’ve been looking at. And other suggestions people feel are better ect please feel free .
