I have my Quail eggs on lockdown! I started incubating on the 3rd of this month, so here goes nothing!

Wish me luck as this is my very first

!

In my other posts it sounds as if I have hatched eggs before, but I have only monitored the hatches my Father in law had started.

Yep, I hatched out some buttons for someone else once and I felt bad when one that was about 36hours old jumped out of the bator when I opened it to take out the ones that had hatched to give the few left a chance to hatch without them running on top of them in the egg cartons. I had to chase that thing around the kitchen to catch it. Dog tried to eat it.

Thank you folks!

They run fast as adults too!

Earlier when I was moving them into their lock-down positions, I swore that i felt the egg move in my hand. It's either wishful thinking or that tiny , tiny chick is actually moving...

I certainly will keep everyone informed.

I think my existing Coturnix flock is rooting them on. The Roo is doing his thing and the Hens are chirping. OTH, it's such pretty noise!

Well, it's 1:00 on Friday morning, I just got off work.

It's due day! Come on little quail chickies!!

No movement from the eggs, but the wife said she saw one move a teensie bit. So here's to hope!
