Wet bulb reads 96 and dry reads 100. I have just the middle trough filled? Can I put my eggs in or is this too high? I’m putting goose eggs in. Do I need to wash the goose eggs before I set them in. I do not have an electric turner, and I’m getting mixed opinions on how often to turn. Any thoughts are much appreciated! Thanks!!

If you have not done so already, please read up on the difference with wet bulb readings and regular hygrometer. I know they are WAY different but I cannot tell you what the difference should be. Usually you would not wash the eggs. If they are very dirty, you can take a paper towel and gently 'pick' off the chunks, then you can spray the eggs with hydrogen peroxide before setting them. You dont want to 'wash' off the protective bloom on the eggs that prevents bacteria from getting in and causing bad trouble.

I dont hatch goose eggs but I would think that the turning cycle would be the same as a chicken. Turn them at least 3, preferably 5 times a day.

The difference between the wet bulb and dry bulb readings you posted is only 4°F, this means the bators relative humidity is almost at saturation. You should be seening condensation on the viewing window?
The greater the difference between the two readings, the less moisture is in the air.
So, if you were reading 100°F on the dry bulb and 86°F on the wet bulb, you should be reading around 60%Rh. I don't have a chart handy and too lazy to do the math but that's pretty close.
I don't trust the thermometers or hygrometers that come with the gators
If I can make a recommendation, get a temp/hygrometer at Walmart, Accurite brand, costs about $9 bucks. Calibrate it by the salt test method and use it instead of the wet/dry bulb method. It will give you a direct reading of the % Rh in your bator. HTH

You need to take out some of the water to lower your humidity as you should be about 50. If you don't have the eggs in the incubator yet wait until you get the incubator leveled out.
