hello
i have 20 eggs that are on day 7 rite now.
i was told that by the last week or so,the temp will rise from the extra movement with a large amount of eggs that are fully developed.
the hova bator only has 1 vent hole and when I'm on lock down,
how do i prevent the heat from getting too high, since you are not supposed to open anything? my readings have been at 100 on top of the egg turner and I'm worried that 102 wont be hard to reach once things really get moving inside the eggs.

I am glad you asked this, because I have the same question. I have a new 1588 coming in the mail, and it is factory set at a particular temp, so do we need to manually reduce the temp at the end?

i have 2 thermometers one on the bottome of the turner(on the wire) and the other is on top of the egg turner. bottom gets a reading of 98 and the top gets a reading of 101. they both are calibrated with each other so hopefully 101 didnt cook the eggs or maybe the both thermometers are off??
