hovabator wafer

I took the wafer off the screw on my hovabator to inspect it.now I can't get the thermostat to come on.what am I doing wrong?

Check your wiring to see if you may have accidentally pulled one loose. Happened to me once. Hope this helps Nancy.

How can you tell if the wafer is bad?

if I remember the directions right you tighten the screw down all the way then back it off a certain number of turns

yes check the wire...the micr-switch is normal close, so when switch is made will turn heating unit off.

I can get the thermostat to go off and on with my finger pushing down on the tiny switch.I can't get it to work w the wafer now.if it was the wire it wouldn't work at all, right?
