Hovering Chickens..

last night one of my roosters released a pen full of hens...

I have been watching him practice the "Hummingbird Stroke" while flying. He can just hover without moving or go forwards, backwards and sideways. He did this hovering near the hens latch, opened it and let them out...

Some people are saying their chickens cannot "hover". I was wondering how many of you have seen your chickens (or Turkeys) doing the hummingbird stroke?

Occam's razor, dear. Try and apply it again, only ask your wife to do it this time. She's better at it.

It is amazing, I have only one rooster that I have seen do this now. I have only seen him do it for about 4 minutes at a time. I am sure he will get better with age.
