My dewlaps handle cold weather better than my Africans. My Muscovy ducks are the most sensitive and rarely venture outside on bad days.
I have 13 Africans in white, brown and brown/white colors (plus 2 African/Toulouse crosses). Africans are great.![]()
Can you put your finger on why it could be alone?....does it seem ill? When it walks around, is it like a ship, all proud (male), or poodling about finding stuff to eat (female)? The head looks heavy, like a gander, but really it depends what breed-type it is..... the behaviour will tell you more. Thanks RURU~ my Joey has actually been away from the pond now for two months almost....But this goose is usually out with the 9 other Embdens-- today all alone. Guess he just needed a time out! Any idea on the sex of the goose? I thought if it is an older female it may be good for Joey as a companion!
