Chicks’ gender traits generally begin to appear between 6 and 8 weeks of age, except Silkies. They can be very difficult to sex...sometimes until they lay or crow.

How old is she? Looks female but I need to see her legs. A male will usually, but not always, have thicker, large legs..

Once the chicks have more adult looking feathers instead of fluff is a good time to start making gender guesses again. This is usually in the 6-8 week range, but chicks mature at different rates. Post updated photos when you have some!
