How about watermelon and cantaloupe seeds?

My chickens hate cantaloupe. I gave the inside to then and the funniest thing happened, they sniffed it and started shaking and scratching there heads. They also go to the opposite side of the coop. Now they act crazy when I cut one up.

Good to know. My chicks love watermelon but I havent tried cantaloupe but we had half one for breakfast. Guess snack time is coming

Very good to know! I have been feeding them chilled watermelon as cool treats in this hot virginia weather and they go for the sends first. I started plucking most of them out but I'll save myself the trouble now!

We give our chickens all of our food scraps and anything we don't get to out of the garden! They decide what they eat or don't eat but usually they eat it all!

My chickens love any type of fruit that I have given them. Apples and melons are favorites. They have also enjoyed fresh yellow squash I tried bell peppers but it was refused by all 14 members of my flock. They aren't too keen on cabbage but enjoy garden salad

Not physically possible. The digestive system is completely separate from the egg production system.

Besides, the seeds all must first pass through the gizzard where all seeds are ground.

just gave watermelon strips with seeds to my girls and they loved them!!
