How active are you silkies?

I have two - they are about a month or six weeks apart in age - when we got our first one, the lady was returning her as they thought she was going to die, so we took her - she was flat in the box and we also thought she was going to die, but we fed and watered her and the next day she was round like a chicken and potting about. I read somewhere that if chickens don't have water it can affect them long term. The lady who had her bought her and another one for their son and had no idea bout chickens, the second one died and thats why they were returning Fizz.
I thought she was a normal silkie since I have never had one before, and I had been told they weren't terribly active or too bright. But then we got Coco to keep her company - she came from a proper breeder and is a lively bustling little thing with an opinion on just about everything.
Fizz seems to often lose her balance when getting off the rocks for their sand bath (not big rocks!) and has to look before stepping up or down anything at all, she is less active and often just sits around and does that head nodding thing. She simply doesn't notice or see treats or food when I put it right beside her whereas Coco doesn't miss a thing.
Is Fizzy normal? Did she suffer brain damage? I worry about her but she eats and mooches about in a healthy way. In fact, its like she is very old even though we know she isn't!

I would think that she is fine because all of my chickens have different personalities and some are lazier than others; and some back away from treats when a chicken higher up on the pecking order wants it. I mean I didn't study the health of chickens but it seems pretty normal to me, and your other one sounds like she is in charge. And you can always think even if she has some long term effects from earlier on in her life as long as she is healthy it is okay.
