How are pullets shipped?

I was browsing mcmurray and they have 20 week old pullets, I was curious how they're shipped since that seems unsafe. I'd love to do it though since I hate raising chicks.

The same way chicks are shipped for the most part (minus the packing peanuts) - in a cardboard box. People do it all the time - not to say that it's comfortable or 'safe' for the bird, just that people do it all the time...
