How are the eggs placed in the auto turner

Can some one show me a picture of the corect way to put shicken eggs in the auto turner, or explain to me the proper way to do it. I thiought that it was pointed end slightly down.
Also is it true that the last three days of hatching, the eggs are not suposed to be turned at all?

This web sight knows more about chickens than my feed store, I am afraid to ask them because They told me that a hawk could not and would not kill a two month old chicken. My instincts told me not to let my chicks free range, and the feed store told me that it was fine.
I asked this sight only after it was to late. My chicks are not for food they are for pets and enternainment only. I am hoping for eggs but they are not doing that for now.

Put the pointy end down into the cup and the bigg end up.

In an auto-turner, the pointy ends are pointed down. You are correct, stop turning on day 18.
