To hear peeping if your not suppose to open the incubator up?

I have heard peeping when my incubator is closed. I thought is had to be coming from my brooder but then as I listened I realized it was coming from inside my incubator. Since the first time I have heard chicks peep several times. When they have pipped the egg you will be able to hear them. When they have internally pipped but have not pipped the shell you may hear them but it is fainter.

They peep loud! I can hear them at the other end of the hall in the back bedroom!

Mine sometimes start a day before they hatch & I love to hear it.

Panda....just wanted to update you. I went to bed 4 hours ago still with not a peep. Just got up to peek...to a pip and a peep or 10!

Yep, you can definetly hear the little buggers!! You can also tap on the bator and get them to peeping too!!

I heard one of mine peep only because i held it up to my ear! No pipping yet.
