I don't have a bit of trouble out of my roo. Once he acted freaked out about my rubber coop boots, don't know why since he's seen them before.
I let him peck the right one. When it didn't fight back he was fine with them.
He crows pretty darn regularly, but since I don't have close neighbors I don't worry about it.
