How Big a Brooder?

How big of a brooder will I need for 6 birds (3-RIR & 3-Barred Rock) that will lest them through the first 8 weeks?

Maybe a 10 gallon tote or equal measures. I have had that many and more in there. I am getting 50 chickens but 10's going to a friend and I am lost about the size of my brooder too. haha. good Luck!

Generally speaking about one-half square foot from hatch to two weeks.
One square foot from two weeks to a month.
Two square feet from a month to two months.

The more room you can give them the better. Those are the minimums.
