Ok, I had to take a break after pulling up posts all morning and running the fence back out some for room to dig so I figured while I was in here I'd ask this.
Right now we have 11 ducks total (and 2 geese), but we will also let them hatch and likely even incubate a few extras. So eventually we're probably looking at around 2 dozen waterfowl. We're digging a 16'x9' oval base pond and will have a a 2' radius circle pond (rounded 4'x4' basically) up the hill enough to make a ~2' waterfall down to the main pond. We're not totally done yet so I can tweak the sizes a bit if needed or even just add another somewhere else (fresh water is always good for the bees anyway)
Basically is that size appropriate for 2 dozen ducks/geese or should be bump the size up. I'd love to make it HUGE and then there would be no question it was enough space, but $ does matter so....
