how big are silkies

An adult male silkie weighs 36 oz. I have one RR that I'm guessing weighs about 5 lbs. Silkies are not tiny bantums. They look much bigger than they are because of all the fluff!

Mine is about 3/4 the size of the Rhode Island Red hens I have. Maybe 3 or 4 inches shorter...but that's not including the Fluff!

My little silkie is tiny then...

Teal, just google a Hex Color Generator or #FF0 Codes for any color.

Silkies most of the time aren't much smaller than your standard hatchery hen. Certainly bigger than most purebred bantams.

Or maybe I've only met some very big Silkies
