How big are your orpington eggs?

If her legs are yellow, its likely she's not an orpington. Might be a cross of some sort.

Yes, probably rock/orpington. Who knows. All I know is she goes very broody and is very full and fluffy, and her comb and wattles look like all the orp pictures.

My Buffs will be one year old next month and they lay small pinkish colored eggs. About half the size of my Black Sex Links eggs which are very large and dark brown. I thought initially they would get bigger and I think they did for awhile but it seems lately that they may be getting smaller. The BSL's eggs are so large they won't fit in egg carton, carton can't close, the Orp's eggs are so small they rattle around in the slot.

I'm glad to hear that Orps eggs are supposed to be large because I wanted to get some more Orps but didn't like the tiny eggs.

That's how our eggs have been...they "rattle" in the carton.

I might get an egg a tiny bit larger if she skips a few days. On the plus side, the shells seem thicker, and I'm guessing it's both a size thing and a frequency thing. Maybe she's using less calcium than our layers who lay bigger eggs more often.
