I am really, really struggling with my decision about what to order from Ideal Poultry.

I'd really, really like to order Bantam Polish. But if I do I will have to order a dozen in order to hopefully end up with 4-6 pullets.

Sexed bantams are too rich for my blood (each sexed bantam pullet runs $10.00 each).

And then I have to raise ALL the chicks until they are old enough to identify the males.

Then I have to hope I can give away the males.

So THEN I begin to think I should just go ahead and order standards. They're cheaper. And many seem to report that they are smaller than most regular chickens, anyway.

What are you thoughts/input?

My polish are not big at ALL.

I got them as chicks from TSC last spring and they're much smaller than my standard EE's, but a little bigger than my other bantams.

They are the about the same height as my LF hens, but are much more petite. Our free range(eating) egg layer flock consists of everything from tiny EE bantams to white rocks and they do great together.

Yes my Polish girl is a bit smaller framed than the others but let me tell you that has not stopped her from fitting right in. I got her as an adult and she mixed inas if she was raised here as a chick. My bantam polish is the same way.
