how big does my cage need to be for 10 Cortunix quail?

Doesn't really matter how deep you make the bedding. Quail will not scratch it up as much as chickens and the poo will make a nice layer on top. Like I said within 2 days at 1/2 sq ft each I had solid quail poop and I didn't even have jumbos. When I cleaned it out the shavings near the bottom were clean looking. Pine pellets did work better than shavings because they absorb the moisture out of the poop faster and then break down into light saw dust that mixes easier than shavings but still plan on dumping the tray at least every 24hours if you pack the quail as tightly as I first tried to.

I made a chicken tractor that is 2x3 and has a wire floor so they don't dig out(they tried) I pour sand on the floor since it is on the sand and it covers the wire. they dust in it and love it. I just pick it up and move it from time to time. And they DO poo alot! LOL Geesh i have 3 in it and thought they needed more space. Guess they don't hahahah
