I think you will find it bigger than it has to be, but that is much better than too small. Looking forward to your critique after this is over. It should do the job quite well.

I commented to my daughter that the scary thing about this was that it was bigger than some people's coops.

I left Cordon scratching around in the vicinity of her golf balls. I'll check her in a few hours.

She's still pacing around complaining.

I'm thinking she'll probably settle on the nest overnight (maybe I should have moved her in the dark -- lesson learned). She certainly never broke that easily last year when she went broody repeatedly and took 3-5 days in the crate every time.
