were all super used to seeing feral pigeons flying in formations and gracefully gliding through the open air, right? Is it at all possible to create an aviary large enough to even come close to that? I can’t help but feel like fancy pigeons are missing out on the freedom of being able to do those amazing areal acrobatics. I know homing and racing is an option but I’d rather not risk my birds.

Everything is possible if you are Billionaire, and can build a covered stadium..:idunno All joking aside,, no, not really possible to build an aviary to have formation flights. I would loft fly pigeons, and enjoy seeing them cruise in formation. My grandchildren called them Grandpas' Eagles. They would fly for a few minutes,, and then park themselves in the high trees, or rooftops.
What kind of birds do you keep??

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome

Fancy pigeons generally don’t fly as much as ferals. Also, a lot of the reason that ferals fly so much is due to caution, predators, and the constant search for food.
