I am going to be planting a potted herb garden this year! I don't know how big of pots I need to get...This is what I'll be planting. How big of pots do you think?

Oregano, Parsley, Dill, Basil, Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon Balm, Mint, Chocolate Mint, and maybe Feverfew, Passion Flower, Chamomile, and Aloe.

If I was going to be planting all of that, I'd put it in the ground. That will be a lot of pots to water, and a lot of potting soil. Of course, the mints can be quite invasive, so a pot wouldn't be a bad idea for them. I'd go with 5 gallon buckets for the mints, You could get away with 3 gal. for the lavender and rosemary. And 1 - 2 gal. for the first 4 and last 2.

a plant is proportional to its pot size. so it depends on what you want to produce. mint does really well in 5 gallon buckets. my favorite buckets are the smartpots or similar geotextile material. great air flow and the roots grow through it, absorbing moisture from the ground. They tend to dry out more but you can get a bigger plant in a smaller pot with them but need to be watered more frequently . You can cut a hole or two in the sides to plants strawberries

I will suggest anywhere between 3 gallons and 5 gallons per plant . One larger one could fit a variety of them in there as well. Square works well with basil and rectangle works well with the lemon balm in my experience
