Ten times the size you think you will need. Otherwise you will be building a new one in two years. Ask me how I know. How large should my coop be for 4 chickens?
This is a for sure thing! I'm now thinking 7 birds.20x20 cause your gonna end up with more birds.
I was gonna keep 6 in my 10x10. Now I have 11 plus 13 lavenders in a brooder and 4 ducks in a brooder, 42 eggs in one incubator and 8 turkey eggs and 12 chicken eggs in another. I have a bigger pen built just have to finish the hot wire before I take em its 2 hours away. This is a for sure thing! I'm now thinking 7 birds.
