im getting 6 heavy breeds, 1 bantam and a few pigeons once i build the coop. What should the dimensions for the coop and run be? Does 5'w by 5'l and 6 ft tall for the coop and 10' by 10' by 6'h for the run sound good or should it be bigger? Also how high up should the roost and nest box be (im getting mostly large breeds that dont fly well). Should the pigeons will have their own platform area in the top were the chickens cant get to, and if so how high up? Other then cost is their any advantage to using plexiglass compared to glass windows? Is it a ok to put linoleum tiles on the floor to make it easier to clean and prevent rotting (i would have about a foot of straw over it so they wouldn't hurt their feet)

I thought it was 4 and 10 minimum....?

Really, how much space and how much money do you have? Build it as big as will fit and you can afford. Trust us on this. Welcome to the insanity. It'll be fine this year. But then next year...
