How big?

I'm about to start setting posts for my run I plain to have around 10 chickens at any given time about how big should I make my run?

In the pen each hen should have 15 square feet to move around and chase bugs.

As big as you can reasonably make it, bigger is better. Size matters

My 8 girls are VERY happy with the 600 sqft run I built them! They never seem bored with the jungle gyms and places to roost outside.

I've yet to hear anyone say, "I wish I'd have made my coop/run smaller"......but plenty of f folks find themselves wishing they'd built bigger. My advice is always build as big as you can the first time. There are so many issues that can arise from overcrowded conditions. Give your flock as much space as you can
