oh no say it aint so. I'm an Angels gal myself and boy do I miss seeing them. Have you been out to see the Quakes? There was some change up this past year with the minor teams. But going is so much fun. Just watch out for thrown bats. Last time we went the same guy lost his three times. The third time he got to the plate the whole section that had the bats flying at them got up and moved until he was out. The same game my son won a dippin dots or cold stone for dancing crazy. They had him up on the board when he was given the ice cream. He handed it to his sister and the crowd went "awwwwww". Yep lots of fun to be had at the minor parks.

We have the Mavericks up here which happens to be the farm team for the D-backs.

You know we never did go see the Mavs even though they were our hometown team. We scored tickets off an on for the Quakes. But we did go watch the fireworks once. Just parked outside the stadium and waited and had fireworks fun. Then we thought why did we do that. We lived so close to the fairgrounds the firetrucks literally parked in front of our house.

My BIL is a plumber that services the Mav Stadium and brings home BUCKETS of baseballs after a vist from there - they never take them off the roof.....

Too bad I didn't know you when we lived there. lol

I used to love watching the Angels out there. And for a few years they televised 90% of their games. Now it's rare that we get to see them on tv. But if we get lucky enough to get to Arlington when the Rangers are playing the Angels it's a hoot. Last time we somehow sat with Angels fans surrounding us. It was really fun. And the ballpark is really nice.

I grew up a Cleveland Indians Fan - we went to a game or two at Jacobs Field (well, that's what they USED to call the field anyway). We also went to quite a few Canton-Akron Indians games (minor league) when I was growing up. I used to spend my birthday at one of the games and it was a thrill to have them announce my birthday! I also remember watching Manny Ramierez play there before he moved up to the majors. Sadly, there is no longer a Canton-Akron Indians team... now it is the Akron Aeros. I've never been to one of their games. I think it was more fun to go to the minor league games than the major league games. It's funny, now I rarely find the time to sit down and watch any baseball, even on TV!
