How can a kid make money during quarantine?

I may, but as much as I'd love to I'm worried because I've never built anything before. I don't want to spend all that time, money, and effort, and then have this cobbled together, not very structurally sound coop.
Nothing wrong with wanting to have a coop premade or built by someone else! I won't tell you how much mine cost

But sometimes you gotta treat yo self

And your chickens 😄

Only keeping 8-9. I do not know very well about building costs, but some things we would have to rent, like some heavy duty power tools, some things we have to ship for tons of money, etc. Parents may also go for this option, to save time and me struggling to build on my own.: https://www.mypetchicken.com/catalo...en-Coop-Plus-Run-up-to-20-chickens-p1790.aspx
Why would you have to ship anything? Everything I’ve needed to build my coops has come from Lowe’s or Home Depot and I’ve built two of them (including one quite large one) and a quail cage. You could also go with a hoop coop to save some money or if you’re not very comfortable with building. Could also buy a regular shed from a hardware store or on Craigslist and convert it into a coop. It would be much better quality that most of the prefab coops you can buy. A lot of places will even deliver and build it for you. Think you have to pay extra but might be worth it and then you could just add the modifications like ventilation, roosts, nest boxes etc. yourself but the major stuff would be done.

Hardware cloth shortage, mostly. I don't want to buy a prefab coop, I'd like to get one of the nice amish built ones that you don't have to build. They look beautiful, are well built, delivered to your driveway, and fit all the criteria I'm looking for in a coop. External nesting boxes, exactly the right coop and run dimensions, windows, and no hassle of building. The issue with getting a shed is I need to use space under a coop for run space-I have very limited space that I can use, and I need to make the most of it. I have looked into hoop coops but my parents care a lot about looks, and want it to look nice.

I think you should save for the one you want, that way you aren't unhappy down the road and end up buying it anyways and now have spent twice as much because you bought the first one.

Not that I know that from experience 😬

If it is what you want you don't have to justify it to anyone. It is completely your prerogative! Your hard earned dollar is worth less tomorrow than it is right now so you should get what you want! It's rare to find a kid that is even motivated enough to try and find a job to save for a goal, good job for you! I'm sure you will find a way and get what you want😄

You can look up plans online. You can always get somone to help you. Just be prepared that they might not be as keen to do it as you. :hmm

Definitely not from experience, you'd never do anything like that ;)
I may be in debt for years, but I don't have to worry about feeding myself or paying for living or taxes or anything, so I think that it might be worth it for the little to no building hassle, the good quality, etc.

The shed conversion cost me just under $800. I had a handy man do it. I love my outside nesting boxes. It also has two sash windows on the back reclaimed and almost like new. Be focused on your goal but be open on how to accomplish it.
