How can I attract and keep predators for garden pests in my garden.?

people say build a log pile for a hedgehog but my garden has a wire fence. It is 10 yards by 10 yards. I haven't read a book yet that is positive on the matter.

are you in the UK? I have seen toad houses (for eating slugs and snails, I think--an upside down large flower pot with a part broken off for the toad to enter and exit would have the same effect.

Here in the states you can buy from on-line garden suppliers--lady bugs, ready to release, lace wings (they are an amazing pest killer)--- other pest eliminators. Maybe on-line or a garden store would be the best resource.
