how can i get my broody hen to adopt a chick???

I would wait and slip it under her at night. It will be all dry, but that will be fine. Is she still sitting on unhatched eggs?

yes. she keeps getting off of them and paying attention to her chicks. i showed her the hatching egg and set it in front of her and watched,she layed down and tucked it under her. i just checked on her and she is still laying on it.i hope she

Personally, I would take the eggs, put them in the incubator and hatch them there, once they are dry I would wait til full dark (around 10-11 pm and slip them under her, from behind so she doesn't see it and put your hand over the chick so it doesn't make any noise.. Check them first light to make sure she accepted them... I had a hen accept some day old chicks with her four day old chicks doing it that way.
