Wellbeloved has more meat. I'd go with that one. Don't change it every three months. Your dog has digestive trouble so find one that works and stick with it

how long should i wait before i change him to JWB because i dont want to upset his stomache

Do you have any good brands that have different formulas or meat sources? My main food has four different meat sources, but I also switch to a different formula, same brand from time to time. The base ingredients are similar so it's not so hard on the dog's system. When I do this I haven't found the need to slowly switch, but most of the ingredients are the same or similar enough, just the meat change and mine are fine on all the different meats.

If you can't do that I would stay on the same food for longer than 3 months. It sometimes takes 10 to 12 weeks to really see how a dog is doing on a food. I would give a food at least 6 months if the dog isn't having any issues with it. If you decide to do a rotation diet you need to find compatible foods to rotate with. You can't go from a lower quality food, to a higher quality food, to a low quality food, then to a high meat based food.

I usually revisit my food choice every 6 months to a year, but have stayed with my current brand for several years now.

This is the best advice you are going to get! Quit with the changes find a healthy well balanced food and stick with it. The dog has you trained, now it is time to turn the tables. When you eat put the dog in a crate or an area where he cannot get near you or your food at meal times and no more scraps, they are not good for him anyway. I would offer the dog food 2-3 times a day for 15 mins, if he doesn't eat, take it away. Within a day or two he will get it and be a much healthier dog because of it. Good luck to you

if go with wellbeloved given those numbers, burns is MOSTLY rice and dogs are carnoviores they dont need minimum 54% rice...the meat should ALWAYS be greater than the grains...(grain free is even better)

i too would pick 1 food and go with it...
if you want to change flavors go with the same brand food in different flavors to keep things interesting but pick 1 brand of food and stick to it...
this could also be part of the issue, the dogs been on so many different foods his system hasnt had chance to truly adapt and react...

id go with the wellbeloved, and stick with it...
its a better quality food than the burns...
if you need to change flavors for your own sense of well being go with other flavors in the same line but not every 3 months...mabe every 6 (i do this sometimes, ill do 6 months of chicken and rice then do a bag of lamb and rice then back to chicken and rice ect...but i keep it the same brand and i dont do it every time...its usually 4 bags of chicken to one bag of lamb ect)

but dont keep swthcing brands, youll just keep his system in a state of constant confusion and its not good for him.

when you change brands you have to do it slowly mix a little of the new brand into the old brand. you cant force a dog to eat i have a mini dashound that only eats certain foods no matter what, currently she wont eat what i have so i have to buy something else or she will starve herself (yes they will starve if they dont like what they eat). changing foods every 3 months isnt good. find a brand that you and your dog likes and stick to it and dont change it. they say if it has any type of corn product as one of the 1st 3 ingredients to try and stay away from it. also dont feed table scraps that often it will cause a dog to only want table scrapes i have had that happen before. if anyone has a flea problem add a little garlic to the meal as it natural repaels fleas. i personaly feed ol roy but had to buy something a bit cheaper and as long as you keep up with a healthy routine with excersie and vet visits its fine (unless vet says so).

Ok, i think im going to get James Welbelloved Turkey and Rice and no ones ansewed my question yet, well not that i have read of, when should i change my dogs food because he got changed 2 or 3 weeks ago so when is it safe to change him ot james wellbeloved

someone did answer your question because I read it several times myself. You can change brands but mix the two together so he gets used to the new one gradually. And once he is on it, don't change it again to something else. Keep him on one food.

My dog has ate his meal today, so is it ok to change him now aslong as i introduce it to him?
