How can I get the back button to work properly on the site?

When I return to pages I am never returned to the right spot down the page; it is always the top of the page. How can I fix this? It happens to me on the entire forum.

I use the back button on my web browser. It works for me.

I have the same issue - when I use the back button it takes me to the top of the page, not where I left off. It's especially annoying when viewing the BST pages. Is there a browser setting I can change to fix this, or is it something in the way the site is set up?

I can confirm this does not happen for me--hitting back returns me to the same position on the page where I was before. I'm on Firefox.
