How can I increase the humidity in my still air?

I've got 2 Little Giant Styrofoam bators that have worked great but I've never filled them all the way full before and my 40 eggs are 2 days overdue. I have a feeling the humidity is toooo low. I dont have a hygrometer. Can I mist water in with a little hand sprayer or will just leaving the water things full of water be sufficient?

Is there room to add a sponge that is partly in the water. That will bring the humidity up.

Go out and buy a Hydrometer. You won't know until you do. They are inexpensive and you can get them at a pet store. I found mine in the turtle/lizard section at Petco (where the pets go).
In the past when my humidity was too low I put a couple of wet sponges in and that seemed to raise the humidity. Good Luck!!

are you using an l.g we have to add water everyfew days to keep humidity aroud 40-45 an we use sponges i take the sponge an cut it up an put them in the corners an just change them out every few days but you need to buy a hydrometer.

I use an LG still air. Currently, I am hatching my first eggs now. Lol. I am doing a dry hatch. Seems easier and supposedly works well with still air 'bators.
