Just for fun, here is a pic showing my aquarium air pump set up.
This is outside after I had already cleaned the incubator. The pump is on the bottom right, it is pumping air into that cup which would normally be filled with water to prevent humidity loss. From the cup it goes into the vent hole of the incubator where there is a little stone for distribution. Overkill I know, but it was fun to make.
My backup thermometer (a Brinsea Spot-check), is also present on the top.
