I want to get some WH hens and free roam in the day but I'm not sure how with all the predators around. I've seen hawks, rats and mice, possums, and snakes. Should I be concerned about these with WH? If so, how can I keep them safe? Another thing- we have a koi pond. Our yard is somewhat of a U shape and the duck house would be on the opposite side of the pond but I don't want them going over there and eating all the fish and plants and making a mess. Would an iron gate work to keep them out? Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
