How can I see???

I set some of my silver cuckoo marans eggs, I would like to check their fertility. But the shells are so dark I can not see a thing!!
The flash light I use it extremely bright. Is there a way I can see through or just wait till they hatch?

Just wait until they hatch or not. Keep track of the days.You could probably have them X-rayed if you have the cash???

I have the same problems with pheasnt eggs. About all you cand do is find a very dark room (at night) and look really really really hard, and then guess.
If that still does not do the trick, crack a couple open and check for the ring on the yolk. Somone posted a good article on what to look for so search that out on BYC if you dont know what to look for.

Ok. I have seen the ring on her eggs. Those were ones I was checking before I set these eggs.
